| Dude, nice fly. It looks really good to me. I am sure the fish will like it. Heck, I've caught them using an all black sz12 GRHE before. IF they are in the mood to hit a nymph, that one is as good as any. |

| In order to give you an accurate assessment of your awesome looking stone fly, you'll need to send me fifteen or twenty so I can really give them the attention they deserve. |

I dig it. I actually like stones to be tied on salmon hooks (200R's are a good choice too) and they will drift just find. Keep in mind that a lot of stoneflies are getting tossed around the water column, so a "tumbling" look isnt necessarily bad.
The only thing that might make it look a little bit better is to comb out the dubbing on the thorax. It will give it a "leggy" look. I have also used ostrich plume for thorax material because it pulsates. Looks good though. |

That's a very nice stone - it'll catch fish for sure. If you want to make it just that little bit better, build up the underbody to transition from abdomen to thorax a bit nicer.. a little taper and it'll be spot on! Don't think the fish will much care, so it's really up to you. |
