Muskegon River
Does Skagit style work on this river... I heard that its a scandi river...
I do not fish it but skagit and scandi are just a style of getting your fly our there. I have fished water where I am using my skagit style and there is a guy with a long belly line just up the run. Just 2 different ways to get the job done.
Skagit- sustained anchor Scandi- more of a "touch and go" anchor
Yes. Skagit works on the river. So does scandi. Whatever method you choose, the end goal is to get the fly out the right distance, and get it to the proper depth by the time its hits the lie you are working. Both can accomplish this.

Skagit for wading, Scandi for swinging from a boat.
