Hi guys. Im in the market for a new steelhead spinning rod. It will mainly be used in the St. Mary's River Rapids, and a few other of the local big rivers such as the PM. I am looking for a rod that will be good for bottum bouncing with as little as a couple split shot up to almost an ounce at times. I would also like to be able to float fish with it occasionally. I am willing to spend some money here to get a good rod that will last. Really Appreciate any suggestions
Thanks

I use that same rod in GL3, about 8 yrs now, when spin fishing thats the one for dead drifting/bottom bouncing. I can't say that I'd recommend it for float fishing, it can be done but definitly not what it's best at. Warranty on used/2 owner rods ? I did break the bottom section in half, my fault, and Loomis replaced entire rod for $60, cost me about $350 new. If I could change anything with that rod I would like to have the same action with about 1' more length. JMHO
