Just received the first one yesterday and as everyone thought it is very light and plenty of power. I think this line of rods will soon become a favorit. We should be seeing the rest of the rods bye the 10th or so I will keep you updated. Im happy to answer ? about the rods so ask away......Craig
too much power for gl steel?? I heard that it is a MEATSTICK so I called st croix and andy said you can load it up with smaller fish but it is loaded with power toward the middle for faster flows and big fish.

Hey Craig what's the lure weight on it? Also did they stick with the fuji's and if so are they sized for winter fishing? Last question I swear... is the cork the same diameter as the old Avids?
The rod does seem to have lots of power , , I should have mine soon , it is light though for a 15ft , I like the 11ft & 13ft as well , have all 3 coming ,
It is Fuji guides , the cork diameter not sure if it is same diamter but it is different cork , didn't like the cork on the old 13ft avid , that rod is a tank , weighs more then the new 15ft lol , but handled big chinnies no problems
1/4 to 5/8 seems to be last ? unanswered................Craig
That seems to be it
