single person pontoon boats

Does anyone use these on the local rivers? I am thinking about getting one, but would like some input by those who have gone before me. I think it maybe the way to cover more water on some of the eastside rivers.

i saw someone using one on the grand river. i was in a canoe with a friend. it seemed pretty cool. the guy floated the same stretch of river we did he was right behind us the whole day. he seemed to like it.
