I have posted on this pin a while back about the bearings and i still havent been able to get them out. Its the silver aventa and i have heard that its an older version and it has bushings in it or something. The pin wont spin anymore unless i force it i thought i could pop them out with a pen and it hasnt worked any advice? does this pin have bearings or bushings? and how the heck can i fix it? I appreciate all the help in advance
thanks,
Jeff

Feel free to drop by with the reel if you are anywhere close to Painesville, Ohio.
Or drop it in the mail and Paine Falls can service it for ya. Not only does Adam make exception reels, but he also knows a thing or two about repairing other reels. It sure beats sending back to the factory for repair; and waiting several weeks to get it back. ... just a thought. Tight lines,
is there anyway i can pop out the bushings and put in bearings? the bushing wont budge unless i force it i think i may have damaged them i dont know tho
Send Paine Falls a PM... if anyone around here can fix it, it's Adam!
I could best answer that type of question only after I have seen the inside of the reel. I have serviced several reels manufacturers, but unfortunately I have not yet serviced any okuma's. Ship it or bring it to me and I can tell you what is involved to retrofit bearings and at the very least improve/correct the reels current level of performance.
