For years I used Mor Tac's colored french style spinner blades for certain applications (chartreuse, pink, orange, etc.), but when they morphed back into Pen Tac they're no longer available. Short of painting some, does anybody have an idea where a fishbadger can come by some high quality heavy stamped colored french blades? Thanks in advance,

Cabela's / Hagens
Cabela's used to have them in their TACKLECRAFT CAT ...the heavy stamped frog blades and last time I bought them there, they had one size bigger (5's) than I could find elsewhere. The bright stuff is nice and flashy to both fish and fisherman, but one study said black is the best all around color. The bright chrome isn't as effective (visually) as the brushed finished (the exact name of the finish escapes me now but it looks like it was galvinised)
Hagens (wholesale) 800-541-4586 They most assuridly have them but thyey sell in volume 500 pc orders Sz 4 any color $96, Sz 5 $112. You may not have the cash or necessity for 500 of one color, but they might know who they did sell a quanity to in the colors you require. Last chance, I know a guy who also builds lots of inline spinners, PM me via this site and I'll give you his number. He may have an idea unless he's painting them himself
Thanks Saga. I'll check out Hagens. I like the heavy stamped stuff, like .030 or .032 inch guage, in a flat painted finish. Those Mor Tac blades were killer. I also like the matte genuine silver coated stuff which is ionized on there, for those special occasions when you gotta come up with the super bling bling. Hard to come by those these days too!

Re: painted spinner blades?
Hi, I have some customers that use the spray can paints with good success. There are a lot of good paint finishes out there if you have time to look in your local paint store, auto parts store, or hobby shop. Some of the fisherman are doing the rainbow salmon blades.
I hope this helps. Don
