Fire Cure

Hey Guys,

I got my hands on some fresh trout eggs and have cured them with Pautsky's Fire Cure. I am planning on freezing them to use at a later date. I am just wondering from those who have used this cure, how did you store the finished egg, and how long will these things stay in the freezer before going bad?

Freez and then vaccum seal them. should last a year .

I put the eggs in a glass jar, put a birthday candle in the eggs pointing up and light it just before i put the lid on it. This will burn off all the oxygen inside the jar after you put the lid on it. You'll know the oxygen in the jar is depleted when the candle goes out. Great way to keep your eggs from getting freezer burn if you don't have a vaccuum sealer.
