With the coming warm up expected and subsequent snow melt and providing we don't get any monsoons to blow the creeks out I'm curious about the migration of steelhead during this time. This a general topic only and not creek or spot specific so try to refrain from that. So here are some questions I have.
Do you feel that steelhead primarily migrate upstream during low light or night hours or during daylight hours. Keep in mind that the current conditions we now have are in play (warming temps, slow snow melt and moderate ice coverage)
Do you feel the fish are more aggressive during the move or once they stop to rest in pools?
Just some questions to get things started, I have my own thoughts and experiences on the matter but I would like to get some other thoughts on the subject.

Re: Steelhead migration habits
From the top of my head, steelhead begin to migrate more heavily starting late afternoon, evening, and early morning, not sure about night. From my experience, when fish are on a spawning run, moving fish are typically non-biters. I look for resting fish. However, it seems at times a moving steelhead into a hole can get some neutral/negative fish to get active.
