Here is some good news after the bad news from the supreme court.

It's only a summit, but we have their ear and time. Any suggestions as to what we could do till this happens, ae. writing congressman etc.??

I say we all show up the day of the summit with our fishing gear on, (not really in waders and rod , but show up anyway.) It's not that far from the Lakes.

This is a terribly odd and seemingly uninformed position being represented here since the sportfishing industry in the great lakes dwarfs the costs associated with closing the canal would have on the shipping industry.
