GUIDELINE FLY FISHING “BOOT CAMPS”
Main Event: Saturday, May 14, Henning Park, Newaygo, Michigan, on the Muskegon River
9:30AM-4:00PM (EDT).
This will be a showcase of Guideline Products http://www.guidelineflyfish.com and Staff. This free event will give you an opportunity to test their latest products and receive instruction from their top flight staff.
All attendees will receive a discount coupon for Guideline Rods and Guideline Rod and Line purchases from the Great Lakes Fly Fishing Company, coupon valid for 30 days after the event.
During this event, through a series of small workshops, we will demonstrate both Single and Two-Handed Rods, and Common Casting faults and how to correct them. Our instructors will show you how to get the best from your Guideline Fly Lines. Peter Humphreys will tie Templedog Tube Flies on FITS Tubing.
Come and cast the New Triple Density and MMD Lines. You may have seen them in the local fly shops and read about them on forums: now’s your chance to test them! Feel the difference when both the rod and line are in balance and complement one another.

Bob Braendle, FFF, MCI, Guideline Power Team, will represent Great Lakes Fly Fishing with rods and lines for sale on site.
Peter Humphreys, FFF, MCI,THCI Guideline Power Team, will demonstrate tying Templedog Tubes, and discuss Common Casting faults and how to correct them.
Doug Hintzman, FFF, CI, Guideline Guide Staff Member, will show you how to get the best from your Guideline Lines with an all-encompassing workshop covering different species and different situations.
Doug Taylor, Guideline Power Team: If you should bring your own rod, Doug will carefully match your rod with the correct weight Guideline line.
Guideline Fly Fishing will sponsor a Casting Competition. The rules and prizes for this will be posted separately and the Competition will be organized by Joe Exl. [ Watershed]
Mini Guideline Fly Fishing “Boot Camps”
During the spring and summer we will hold a series of mini workshops for Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. These local “boot camps” will allow ample time to try out Guideline products and receive one-on-one instruction in casting, both single and two-handed rods plus the matching lines. These will be simple low key events catering to a small interested group.
