Need help selecting my first spey rod
I'm trying to evaluate several rod brands in selecting my first spey rod. I'm looking at Sage Z-Axis and Loomis Versa Spey but before I decide I wanted to get some information on Hardy's Swift MKII Double Handed rods as well. there are no dealers anywhere near me that carry these rods. My trip is to the lower Dean River in BC and the guide is recommending a 9wt rod to handle Skagit style lines in the 600 to 650 class with a very fast rod. Anyone have any experience with the Hardys? Thanks.
Get the 8129-4 Z-AXIS with the new RIO Skagit Flight Head...I've been fishing this rod for 3 years in the Great Lakes and have tried lots of other rods yet this one still is my favorite...
